Triple Bunk-Beds

Triple Bunk-Beds

In case you have a big family with more than two kids, the triple bunk-beds would be a great idea for your kids’ room. They don’t require much space and they also look nice as they offer many possibilities in which you can install them. The pictures we are showing you here could to give you an idea about how to assemble your own triple bunk-beds. You can also paint them in any color you want, but for this, be sure that they match with the rest of the room. Another great idea would be to make them as colorful as possible since your kids will love this. You can also build bunk-beds with a theme or a space for both girls and boys. You can make a part of the bunk-bed to be suitable for boys – this means you can choose a bit darker colors, or paint some motives such as cars or ships. For girls, brighter colors, like pink and yellow would be just perfect, and you can also paint some cute flowers on the sides of the beds.

DIY Projects Made from Matchsticks

DIY Projects Made from Matchsticks

Creating art is always subjective and most of the times simple. This is the case with DIY projects. As you can see from the beautiful pieces featured here. They are the work of artist Pei-San Ng and display words of inspiration or encouragement. But what exactly are they? Wall art made with matches! Yes, you read that correctly, the artist transformed ordinary matches you use in the kitchen into pieces of art. A whole lot of matches were arranged neatly next to each other in order to form the desired word. The process is so easy that even a kid could do it. This sort of DIY project is awesome because you can decorate your own home with it or simply gift it to a person you care about

Painted Deck Project

Painted Deck Project

If you have a large deck annexed to your home, then don’t just leave it plain and boring! Here’s a great project to try at home if you want to transform your deck and are also looking for a fun weekend DIY activity. What you are going to need for this project is a free afternoon, paint (you can Valespar deck paint and exterior paint, just like the couple from the link below did) in the colors of your choice and some preparation in advance. Start by cleaning the surface of your deck and removing all pieces of moss, dust and other foreign elements. Then plan the pattern you are going to draw and trace the plan on the surface of deck and start coloring the interior of the pattern. The end result will be a fun and colorful outdoor space for you and your family and if you need a little bit of inspiration and more details about this project, visit the following link.

This is a project by Alisa Burke. She is a great artist, author, teacher, wife and mom.

How To Crochet A Ninja Turtle

How To Crochet A Ninja Turtle

Cute crochet patterns are all over the Internet, but some are harder to put into practice than other. This next idea is both cute and easy to make, so you should gather your crochet needles and yarn and start working on your very own crochet a ninja turtle. To learn more about the steps of this DIY project, visit the link below and follow the instructions! Once you mastered the technique of crocheting these Ninja Turtles, you can proceed to other more intricate patterns. What do you think?

Disclaimer: is written by Atsuko with inputs from Rheatheylia (thanks ladies!). I have slightly modified their pattern (changes tracked in red) to incorporate more character details like the belt and arm bands. For your convenience, I have appended the full set of instructions here.

PREVIOUSLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FROM MY OLD BLOG):
  1. What is the size of your finished turtles?
Mine was about 7-8″ tall. The size of the turtles could vary depending on yarn weight, hook size, and your crochet tension.
  1. Is it on purpose that the finished product has the ‘wrong’ side facing out?
Yup, it is intentional for this pattern. Personal preference; I liked the rougher (tougher) look for the turtles.
